I’ve been working away at the budget, but there is still more work needed. I want to have the budget fully up to date by Monday, so this is just a weekend challenge. The challenge is simple get it finished off and finalized.
So what makes this challenge hard? Well I first have to finish getting all the transactions for June entered in. Then I have to update the budget section and make sure I don’t have too much red ink. For red ink I do have I have to move money around and make it all balance. Finally I might have to actually move money around in our accounts to make it all balance out correctly.
All in all it will take a few hours to complete. I’m hoping I can report back on Monday that I’m caught up. The key job after that will be staying on top of it. That is also part of the challenge. Just reporting that I’m up to date on Monday isn’t enough. I need to be able to report on Thursday that I’m still up to date on the budget.
That’s it a plain a simple challenge for myself and anyone else that wishes to participate, keep the budget up to date.
Jason, I try to keep up-to-date daily but Thursday’s have to be up-to-date so I can reconcile the bank with my hubby’s deposit (paid weekly). Then I put the money in the virtual money jars (actually just my own budget binder) and start over again, I’m not allowed to spend one penny if I’m not reconciled on Thursday. It has been working now for about 3 months! So for me this works.
